A busy first week of Foster Care Fortnight!

To mark the start of the campaign we joined the One Stop Shop team at Sandwell Council House for a pop-up information stand where we had some great conversations about fostering with members of the public and council staff.

We also launched a new dedicated FosterSandwell Facebook channel that will complement the main Trust Facebook page.

All week we’ve been sharing clips from our foster carers on the theme of this year’s campaign The Power of Relationships and continuing to spread the word through pop-up information stands.

Next Wednesday, one of our foster carers Katy Berryman will be on Black Country radio’s Ken Francis mid-morning show to talk about her experience of fostering. The team will also be out and about promoting fostering at the Council House and Roway Lane.

On Thursday evening there will be a Fostering Information event at Metsec and on Friday we are holding a special foster carers coffee morning to say ‘thank-you’ to our foster carers.

There has been lots of activity on social media through the week and this will continue next week. Please continue to 'like' and 'share' any posts that you see.
