Black History Month at Sandwell Council House

Our Foster Sandwell team were delighted to be invited to Sandwell Council House today for a special event to mark Black History Month.  Along with dance routines, some excellent singing, with live piano accompaniment from a group of highly talented local school children and some  powerful speeches and poetry in celebration of Black History Month, we also had a marketplace event where we were able to spread the word about fostering with Sandwell.

We had two busy sessions with plenty of people wanting to talk to our foster carers Suzanne and Paul in the morning and Caroline in the afternoon.  Not everyone was ready to foster right away of course, we know that the timing has be be right.  But we met lots of people we’re hoping to hear from again, whether that’s in a few weeks, a few months or a few years.
