Eid Party Celebrations

The Metsec was home to celebration, music, food and prayer yesterday as the Voice Team hosted our second Eid party, with around 30 separated young people joining Trust staff and partners. 

Abdul started the party before inviting some of our young people to share their experiences of Ramadan and Eid. We heard from young people from Libya and Syria who spoke with warmth about the welcome they have received in Sandwell. 

One of the most important elements of any celebration is eating together, everyone enjoyed dishes from the Middle East including kabsa, curries and grilled chicken.

Ahmed from Sudan led the group through prayer, then it was time for the party to get started with games and some very energetic dancing!
