Foster Care Fortnight

Foster Care Fortnight starts on Monday (12 May). This is one of the highlights of the year for our fostering service, so we are pleased to tell you we have a busy two weeks coming up.

Online we will have a series of testimonies from our foster carers reflecting on this year’s campaign theme, which is ‘The Power of Relationships’ and talking about the connections they have made through fostering. The campaign launch will also be marked with a press release that will be issued to all local media on Monday.

We are aiming to have social media posts every day of the campaign, so if you see a post, please do like and share it, as your support really does help.  Our fostering website will have a refresh to mark the campaign too.

Sandwell Council are also supporting Foster Care Fortnight, we’ll be launching the campaign at the One-Stop shop in Sandwell Council House on Monday, with staff wearing our fostering t-shirts and a fostering information stand in the foyer.

The council will be sharing some of our campaign content on their social media platforms as well throughout the fortnight and we are looking forward to inviting one of our foster carers onto Black Country Radio for an interview in the second week of the campaign, which will also feature our latest fostering information event and a coffee morning when we will say ‘thank-you’ to our foster carers at Metsec on Friday 23 May.
