What Is Fostering?

Fostering is looking after a child who cannot live with their parents and becomes looked after by Sandwell Children’s Trust as a result.

Fostering comes in many forms, it can be a very short term arrangement, or it can mean giving a home to a child until they reach adulthood.

There are many reasons why children need to be looked after and there are many people, with different skills and experiences who become foster carers.
